Requirements

  • Form N1 completed in duplicate before an authorised official
  • Birth certificate, passport and (if applicable) marriage certificate
  • Work permit documentation where relevant
  • Two certified photographs
  • Tax compliance certificate and income/bank statements (within 6 months)
  • Four Jamaican-born references
  • Newspaper notice of intention on two occasions at least one week apart

How to apply

  • Publish the notice of intention in a daily newspaper
  • Complete Form N1 and gather supporting documents
  • Submit at PICA, 8 Waterloo Road, Kingston 10 (or a Jamaican mission abroad)
  • Attend the citizenship ceremony on approval
