  • Academics, scientists and research teams undertaking research in Tuvalu

Requirements

  • Application on Form 3 with evidence demonstrating the research purpose
  • Passport or certificate of identity and two passport-sized photographs
  • Evidence of financial capacity or a resident sponsor's Form 6
  • Valid outward-bound ticket or repatriation bond
  • If staying more than one year: medical (Form 7), radiological (Form 8) and police reports

How to apply

  • Prepare documentation supporting the research project and any host/permissions
  • Complete Form 3 and pay the AUD 600 research fee
  • Submit to the Immigration Department for the Principal Immigration Officer's decision
