The Immigration Regulations 2014 do not publish standard processing times for Permits to Enter and Reside, and Tuvalu does not operate a large online-processing system. Visitor's Permits are typically issued at the point of entry on arrival.

Because Permits to Enter and Reside are decided by the Principal Immigration Officer and involve document checks (and, for stays over one year, medical, radiological and police reports), applicants should apply well in advance and allow extra time for documents sourced from overseas.
