Who it is for

  • Foreign nationals coming to the Dominican Republic to work under contract
  • Applicants who already hold (or will obtain) the labour-purpose entry visa

Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least six months
  • Non-extended birth certificate, legalised/apostilled and translated by a court interpreter
  • Certificate of no criminal record from country of origin or last five years' residence, legalised/apostilled and translated
  • Four recent 2x2 photographs (front and right-profile, plain white background)
  • Employment contract and the Ministry of Labour resolution ordering its registration
  • Medical examinations at a DGM-authorised institution

How to apply

  • Secure a registered employment contract via the Ministry of Labour
  • Enter on the appropriate work-purpose visa
  • File the RT-3 application with the DGM with the full document set
  • Renew annually while employment continues
