Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

To enter Belarus you generally need a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure (at least 90 days for the airport visa-free regime), valid medical insurance, and, for most travellers, a visa. Under the airport visa-free rules the medical insurance must cover at least EUR 10,000 for the whole stay.

Visa applicants also provide a completed application form, a passport photo and visa support documents appropriate to the purpose - such as a tourist voucher, a private-visit invitation, a business invitation, an employer's documents, or a letter of invitation from an educational institution. Documents submitted for residence permits usually need notarised translations into Russian or Belarusian.
