Consular visa decisions are normally taken within 5 working days from the date of application, or within 2 working days as a matter of urgency. The e-visa is issued within 7 calendar days of a completed online application.

For residence, a temporary residence permit decision is made within 30 calendar days of application. Study and work routes involve additional steps (invitation, employer permit, registration) that add to overall timelines, so apply well ahead of travel.
