Who needs a visa to Venezuela

Visitors visiting Venezuela must get a visa from one of Venezuela’s diplomatic missions, unless they are from one of the nations that are exempt from obtaining a visa from the country. Visitors are expected to provide evidence of adequate finances to pay the cost of their stay as well as any documentation necessary for their subsequent destination.

Entry into Venezuela

Due to persistent concerns regarding COVID-19 and the security situation in the nation, the Embassy strongly discourages non-essential travel to Venezuela at this time. There are few commercial flights to and from Venezuela, and they may be altered or cancelled. At the point of departure, all travellers to Venezuela must present a valid Traveller Pass called Pase Viajero de Bioseguridad. This pass must be requested at least 72 hours before to arriving in Venezuela.

A travel itinerary, personal information, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 72 hours of arrival are required to apply for the pass. For a proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be valid, at least 14 calendar days must have elapsed since the last dose of a complete vaccination program. Evidence of a vaccine booster is required if more than 270 days have passed since the last dose of a complete vaccination program.

All passengers age 5 and older must undergo a second COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. The majority of airlines have already incorporated this fee into the price of the ticket. If the airline has not included this fee in the ticket price, each passenger will be responsible for its payment. This PCR test costs USD 60 and can only be paid for in cash. Entrance requirements are subject to change; check with the nearest Venezuelan Embassy for the latest information. If you test positive for COVID-19 in Venezuela, you must comply with the local health authorities’ instructions.
