  • Visa-required travellers passing through Ukraine en route to another country
  • Not for those intending to stay in Ukraine itself

Requirements

  • Evidence of onward travel and the right to enter the destination country
  • Valid passport and completed application at a Ukrainian mission
  • Supporting documents that determine the validity granted

How to apply

  • Apply at a Ukrainian embassy or consulate (no earlier than 3 months before travel)
  • Submit your passport, completed application form and photograph
  • Provide proof of the right to enter the onward country and of the transit itself
  • Pay the applicable consular fee

Documents you may need

  • Valid passport or travel document
  • A visa for the destination country (where one is required) together with travel tickets
  • Or documents confirming that passengers/cargo are to transit Ukraine by car or coach
  • Or an international carrier licence issued by the relevant foreign authority
  • Medical/travel insurance covering Ukraine and proof the consular fee is paid
