How to apply for a Trinidad and Tobago visa or permit

The route you use to apply depends on what you need. Nationals who require a visa to enter Trinidad and Tobago generally apply through a Trinidad and Tobago consular post (or the nearest post) in their country of residence, or through the Immigration Division's online visa service. Student permits are handled through the Immigration Division's online Student Permit system, and work permits are processed through the national single-window trade portal, TTBizLink.
Residence and citizenship matters are managed by the Citizenship and Residency Unit of the Immigration Division at the General Administration Building, Temple Court 2, 52–60 Abercromby Street, Port of Spain. Because processes and contact points change, confirm the current channel for your case with the Immigration Division before starting.
Choose the right channel
- Visitor visa required: apply at a Trinidad and Tobago consular post or via the Immigration Division online visa service.
- Study: apply through the Immigration Division's online Student Permit service.
- Work: apply online through TTBizLink (individual permits of 1–9 applicants must be submitted online).
- Residence and citizenship: apply through the Citizenship and Residency Unit of the Immigration Division.
