Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Document requirements differ by route, but most applications require a valid passport (with a clear bio-data page), a completed application form and evidence supporting the purpose of stay. Work permit applications also require employer documentation, such as a job letter, company registration and a justification for employing a non-national. Student permit applications require proof of acceptance and enrolment at an approved institution.

Each official application page publishes its own checklist. Use the checklist for your specific route and confirm it is the current version, as the Immigration Division updates its supporting-document lists periodically.
