Who it is for

Nationals of countries on Senegal's visa-exemption list, travelling for stays of under three months.

  • African nationalities listed by the Ministry include Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Congo (Brazzaville), Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Togo and Tunisia
  • European nationalities listed include France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden
  • Other listed nationalities include Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, Djibouti, United Arab Emirates, United States, Mauritius, India, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore

Requirements

  • Passport or recognised travel document valid for at least 6 months
  • Stay planned for under three months
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate if arriving from a country with risk of transmission
  • Be a national of a country on the current exemption list

What you can do

  • Enter for tourism, family visits or short business without applying for a visa in advance
  • Stay for up to the permitted short-stay period
  • Apply for a residence permit / foreigner identity card if you intend to stay longer than three months
