How to apply

  • Apply at a Senegalese embassy or consulate with a passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Provide onward travel evidence and any documents the consulate requests

Requirements

  • A passport (or recognised travel document) valid for at least 6 months, with blank pages.
  • A confirmed onward or return ticket to your final destination.
  • If you remain in the international transit area and connect onward, you normally do not clear immigration and do not need a visa.
  • If you must pass through Senegalese immigration, you need either a visa exemption (nationals of many African, EU and other listed countries may enter for up to 3 months without a visa) or an entry visa obtained beforehand.
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate where required by the country you are arriving from or transiting.
