Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For entry, you need a passport or recognised travel document valid for at least six months; the Ministry specifies the passport plus a photocopy of the photo (identity) page for a visa application. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers arriving from countries with a risk of transmission.

For residence and route-specific applications, you will additionally need documents proving the purpose of your stay — for example an approved employment contract for work, proof of enrolment for study, or evidence of a family relationship — together with proof of legal entry and means of support, submitted to the DPETV.
