Fees for a Slovenia visa application
Slovenia's national long-stay (Type D) visa fee is EUR 77, with certain categories exempt; residence-permit administrative fees are set separately.

Slovenia charges a national fee for the long-stay (Type D) visa, which is distinct from the short-stay Schengen visa fee. The amount below is taken directly from Slovenia's official long-stay (D) visa checklist. Where a mission collects the fee in another currency (for example USD), the amount is converted and adjusted periodically, and service or courier charges levied by an external partner are additional.
After entering Slovenia, applying for and issuing a temporary residence permit at an administrative unit involves separate administrative charges, which are governed by Slovenia's fee legislation.

- Fee-exempt categories on the official checklist include: students who are Turkish citizens and Fulbright scholarship holders; holders of diplomatic and official passports (with a mandate in Slovenia); and family members of EU citizens in the case of family reunification.
- External service-provider service fees and courier fees, where applicable, are charged in addition to the visa fee.
Residence permit charges
The administrative fee for issuing a temporary residence permit is set separately from the visa fee and is payable at the administrative unit.
