Requirements
- Letter of acceptance to study issued by the Romanian Ministry of Education / institution
- Proof of financial means (at least the minimum gross national salary for the visa period)
- Travel medical insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000
- Criminal record certificate
- Parental consent if the applicant is a minor
- Proof of accommodation

How to apply
Obtain your letter of acceptance to study from the Romanian authorities/institution.
Apply in person for the D/SD long-stay visa at a Romanian consulate with your acceptance letter and supporting documents. The National Visa Centre decides after a favourable IGI opinion, typically within about 30 days (extendable).
After entering Romania, apply at the local IGI office for the residence permit for study.
