Who it's for
Non-EU/EEA nationals who have a concrete job offer from a Lithuanian employer and will be employed under a Lithuanian employment contract, from lower-skilled roles up to specialists who do not use the Blue Card.
Requirements
- A valid employment contract or binding job offer with a Lithuanian-registered employer
- Salary at least equal to the average monthly gross wage in the national economy (1.2x for high-value-added shortage occupations)
- A work permit or favourable labour-market decision from the Employment Service, unless exempt (e.g. shortage-occupation list)
- Valid passport/travel document
- Health insurance valid in Lithuania (until state health insurance begins)
- Clean criminal record for first-time applicants
- Applicable within any annual quota for the occupation

How to apply
The applicant (or employer) creates an account and files the TRP application in MIGRIS at migracija.lt.
After the application is submitted, biometric data and original documents must be presented in person - at a Migration Department division in Lithuania or at a designated VFS Global centre abroad - within the deadline set by the system.
The standard decision period is up to about 4 months, reduced to roughly 2 months if the expedited fee is paid. Once approved, the applicant collects the permit card.

Frequently asked questions
