Fees for a Croatia visa application
Croatia's national fees cover the long-stay visa D and the temporary-stay grant plus the biometric residence permit, with several exemptions.
Important
Croatia charges separate national fees for the long-stay visa (visa D) issued by its embassies/consulates and for the temporary-stay decision and biometric residence permit handled inside Croatia by police administrations. The amounts below are the official figures published by MVEP (consular/visa fees) and MUP (in-country administrative fees).
Fees are normally paid by payment slip at the police station, or by internet banking to the stated IBAN, when applying in Croatia; consular fees are paid at the mission handling your visa. Certain categories are exempt from the visa D fee.
Published national fees
- Long-term visa (visa D): EUR 93
- Grant of temporary stay (in-country, at a police administration): EUR 46.45
- Production of the biometric residence permit: EUR 31.85 (EUR 59.73 for accelerated production)
- Issuance of the biometric residence permit: EUR 9.29
Exemptions from the visa D fee
- Children up to the age of 12
- Family members of a Croatian national (spouse, children) applying for family reunification
- Third-country nationals granted temporary stay for secondary-school education, university studies, or research
- Applicants granted temporary stay on humanitarian grounds
