Who Needs a Visa to Enter Ghana?

All foreign nationals, except citizens of ECOWAS member states and select visa-exempt countries,
must obtain a valid visa before entering Ghana. A visa may be issued for tourism, business, study,
transit, or residence purposes.

  • Citizens of ECOWAS countries (e.g., Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo) do not require a visa.
