All travellers applying for a Ghana visa must meet the general requirements set by the Ghana Immigration Service and the Ghana High Commission.
These requirements apply to all visa types — including Visitor, Business, Student, Transit, and eVisa categories — for the year 2025.

Basic Entry Requirements

To enter Ghana, applicants must meet the following general conditions:

• Hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity beyond your planned stay.
• Have at least one blank page available for visa endorsement.
• Provide proof of sufficient funds to cover accommodation, meals, and return travel.
• Possess a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
• Hold a return or onward ticket showing intent to leave Ghana.
• Be of good character and free from criminal convictions.

Documents Required for All Visa Types
