New Zealand visa applications require identity, funds, health and character evidence, plus purpose-specific documents such as job offers or offers of place.
Important
Every application needs core evidence: a valid passport, an acceptable photo, proof of funds, and health and character documents where required. Immigration New Zealand may ask for a chest X-ray, a medical examination, or police certificates depending on the visa and length of stay.
On top of the core documents, each route has its own evidence. Work visas need a job offer and evidence of skills or experience; student visas need an offer of place and proof of tuition and living funds; partnership visas need evidence of living together. INZ publishes checklists and guides for most visas.
