Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

New Zealand visa applications carry an application charge that varies by visa type and where you apply. Many visitors, working holidaymakers and some students and workers also pay the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) of NZD $100, which was increased from NZD $35 on 1 October 2024. The IVL is paid alongside your visa or NZeTA request and is not refunded even if the application is declined.

The NZeTA itself costs NZD $23 through the Immigration New Zealand website or NZD $17 through the official mobile app. Always check the current fees table on immigration.govt.nz, as application charges and levies are reviewed periodically.
