Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For a short-stay eVisa, applicants generally need a valid passport, a passport-style photograph and a copy of the passport bio-data page. You are usually also asked for proof of accommodation (such as a hotel reservation), an onward or return flight ticket, and evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.

Purpose-specific categories require extra documents: a business visa may need an invitation or company details, an investment visa needs documentation of the qualifying project, and a sports and culture visa needs event accreditation or invitation details.

Long-stay routes (work, study, residence) require additional evidence such as a job offer and labour authorisation, proof of enrolment, or evidence of a family relationship, plus registration with SENAMI after arrival to obtain a DIRE. Requirements can change, so confirm the exact document checklist for your category on the official portal.
