Mozambique visa processing times

How long an online Mozambique eVisa or eTA application typically takes to be decided.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Applications submitted through the official eVisa portal are generally decided within a few business days of a complete submission, and the eTA is often available shortly after approval. Reporting around the relaunched system indicates eVisa decisions within several business days and eTA approvals faster, but you should always allow extra time in case of delays.

Processing can take longer if documents are missing or unclear, or during busy periods. Apply well ahead of your intended travel date, and for the eTA in particular complete the process before departure rather than at the last minute.

Long-stay routes such as work, study and residence involve additional steps — including labour authorisation for employment and post-arrival SENAMI registration — so these take considerably longer than a short-stay visa.
