Documents You Need for a Mauritius Visa

For a short-stay visa, the Passport and Immigration Office generally requires a completed and signed visa application form, two recent passport-size photos and a photocopy of the data pages of your passport. Applicants not residing in their country of origin should also include a copy of their residence permit.

Depending on the visa type you may also need a hotel reservation, a copy of your return ticket, a recent bank statement and, for business or social visas, a sponsorship or invitation letter from the relevant company, ministry or organisation in Mauritius. All documents should be translated into English or French.

  • Copy of residence permit (if not residing in country of origin)
  • Hotel reservation and return/onward ticket
  • Bank statement showing sufficient funds
  • Sponsorship / invitation letter (business or social visas)
