The Passport and Immigration Office aims to issue a short-stay visa, as far as practicable, within 12 working days of receiving a complete application. Applicants are advised to apply at least one month before their intended travel date to allow for processing and any additional checks.

Processing times for work, investment, retirement and long-stay permits handled by the Economic Development Board differ from short-stay visas and depend on the category and completeness of the application. Confirm current EDB timelines through the official channels.
