Entry into Iraq

Beginning on 1 April 2022, all inbound/outbound international passengers over the age of 12 who have received one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of any other vaccine will no longer be required to present evidence of a recent negative PCR test when entering or exiting Federal Iraq or the KRI. Passengers are required to provide international vaccination cards with QR codes as proof of immunisation status. If you are medically unable to be vaccinated, you must provide a medical report and proof of a PCR test completed within the preceding 72 hours.

Eligibility to apply for a Iraq visa

In order to apply for a Iraq visa, you must follow the following criteria and fulfil the requirements. The criteria is listed below.

A passport valid for at least another six months.

Completd visa application form.

Two passport-sized photographs.

Prove you can cover the cost of staying in Iraq.

Criminal records.

You must be able to prove the reason for your visit.

Processing time for Iraq visas

Please allow 15 business days for the processing of visas. Applicants will be informed once the embassy receives consent from the Iraqi authorities. Three-month single-entry visas will be provided to approved applicants on the date of issuance.

Appointment waiting times

Visa appointment wait periods can vary from situation to situation. The seasonal volume of work and number of waiting applicants also affect the projected duration of the wait. However, the bulk of wait periods range between 60 and 120 days. It is essential that you provide sufficient time before your trip to arrange your visa.
