Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

All Eritrean visa applications share a common set of documents, with additional items depending on the visa type. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the dates of the trip, and one recent passport-size photograph (35 x 45mm) is uploaded with the application form.

Beyond these basics, each category adds its own supporting evidence — for example an invitation letter for business, an employment letter for work, a school letter for study, and a reference in Eritrea for family visits.
