Who needs a visa to visit Ecuador?

Entry into Ecuador

Any traveller suspected of having COVID-19 upon arrival in Ecuador, as judged by a health authority at the airport, may be compelled to submit to an antigen test. If a passenger tests positive, they will be instructed to wear a mask (isolation is not necessary) and their health will be monitored by phone calls by the Ministry of Public Health.

Although facemasks are no longer required in Ecuador, individual establishments may request that visitors wear them. It is advised to always carry a mask and evidence of immunisation.

Those entering Ecuador via the land borders with Peru or Colombia are needed to provide an official entrance stamp. Immigration officials in Ecuador may deny admission to travellers without a Peruvian or Colombian exit stamp.
