The e-Ticket is a mandatory digital form that every passenger — Dominican or foreign — must complete when entering or leaving the Dominican Republic on commercial flights. It combines the immigration form, the customs declaration and the tourist card into a single document and must be completed before reaching the airline check-in counter.

The form is completed free of charge on the official DGM portal at eticket.migracion.gob.do. There is no longer a fixed 72-hour rule: it can be filled in as soon as flight details are known. Only the official DGM site should be used, as third-party sites may charge unnecessary fees.

The tourist card (historically a separate US$10 purchase) is now incorporated into the e-Ticket and is generally already included in the airfare for most travellers. Travellers staying beyond the permitted period may face an additional charge on departure, assessed on a sliding scale according to the length of overstay.
