Who Needs a Chad Visa
Whether you need a Chad visa depends on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay.
Important
Nationals of a limited group of countries can enter Chad visa-free for short stays, and some neighbouring-country citizens may travel on a national ID card. Everyone else needs a visa obtained through evisa.td before arrival — visa-exempt nationals cannot apply for an eVisa.
The right route depends on purpose: tourism, business, transit, study and family visits each have their own eVisa category, while taking up employment or living in Chad long-term requires a work permit and residence card rather than a short visa.
