Chad visas
Whether you need a visa for Chad depends on your nationality and the purpose of your trip: nationals of a limited group of countries enter visa-free for short stays, while most other travellers must obtain a visa before arrival. Since December 2024 Chad has operated an official electronic-visa portal (evisa.td), and from May 2026 online application through that portal became mandatory for all visa categories except diplomatic and courtesy visas. The system is administered by the E-Visa Sub-Directorate of the Ministry of Public Security and Immigration; longer-stay work, residence and citizenship matters involve the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of the Interior.
