Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry to Chad, so carry it with your passport and visa. Because Chad has no visa on arrival, non-exempt travellers must already hold an approved eVisa or a visa issued by a Chadian mission.

After arrival, all travellers are required to register with the police within a short window regardless of nationality. Failing to complete this registration can cause problems on departure or during any stay, so treat it as a mandatory first step after entering the country.

On arrival checklist

  • Carry passport, visa (or exemption proof) and yellow fever certificate
  • Complete police registration promptly after arrival
  • Keep copies of your visa and entry stamp
