Burundi visa applications generally require a valid passport, a recent passport photo, the completed application form and documents supporting the purpose of travel. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry.

Requirements vary by visa type: business travellers may need an invitation letter, students need proof of enrolment, and establishment or permanent-resident applicants need evidence of their grounds for long-term settlement.
