Regional free access: EAC and CEPGL citizens
How citizens of East African Community and Great Lakes (CEPGL) states enter Burundi without a visa fee.
Important

The EAC access visa is granted for one to six months and the CEPGL access visa for one to three months, both free of charge. There is also a free EAC study visa (valid one year) for students from EAC member states.

- CEPGL citizens: free access visa, 1–3 months
