Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For a visitor eVisa you generally need a passport valid for your stay with blank pages, a clear passport bio-data page, a passport-style photo, and details of your accommodation and itinerary. Payment is made online, or in cash at the border for a visa on arrival.

Permit applications require considerably more. Across the residence, employment, investor, student and spouse permits, the Department of Immigration commonly asks for a completed residence permit application form (I.F.5), an application letter to the Chief Director of Immigration, a certified passport bio-data page, two certified passport photos, and police clearance from your country of origin or last residence that is not older than six months. Investor and permanent-residence applications additionally require a radiological (TB) certificate, and category-specific evidence such as a project proposal, proof of funds, a letter of acceptance from a school, or a spouse guarantee form.
