The official eVisa portal states an average processing time of around 7 working days for online visitor visa applications, including single, double, multiple-entry and KAZA UniVisa applications. A visa on arrival is issued at the port of entry itself for eligible Category B nationals.

Permit applications (employment, investor, student, spouse and permanent residence) are assessed case by case by the Department of Immigration and take longer than a visitor visa; the Department does not publish a single fixed timeline, so build in extra time and apply well ahead of your intended start date.
