Who Needs a Zimbabwe Visa (Category A, B and C)
Zimbabwe's three-category system determines whether you travel visa-free, get a visa on arrival or online, or must apply in advance.
Important
Zimbabwe places every nationality into one of three categories. Category A nationals are visa-exempt and can enter for tourism without a visa, for a period that varies by nationality. Category B nationals can obtain a visa on arrival (cash only) at a port of entry, or apply online through the eVisa portal. Category C nationals must obtain a visa in advance from a Zimbabwean embassy or consulate and are not eligible for a visa on arrival.
Your eligibility for a specific route also depends on the purpose of travel: work, study, investment, joining a spouse and settlement each require the relevant permit rather than a visitor visa. Always confirm your own nationality's category on the official portal before booking travel.
