Almost every Venezuelan visa requires a passport valid for at least six months, one or two recent colour passport-size photographs (frontal), a completed application form and payment of the fee. Beyond that, each category adds its own evidence.

Tourist and transit applicants typically add proof of funds and ties to their home country (bank/employment letters, property documents), onward or return travel, a medical certificate and accommodation details. Work applicants add a labour authorisation and an apostilled criminal-background certificate translated into Spanish; students add an enrolment letter; family applicants add registered civil documents proving the relationship; and investors add documents evidencing the accepted investment.
