Whether you need a visa for Venezuela depends on your nationality and the purpose of your visit. Nationals of many countries can enter visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days, while others must obtain a visa in advance — increasingly through the government's Cancillería Digital electronic-visa system introduced in 2026. Immigration status and residence are administered by the Servicio Administrativo de Identificación, Migración y Extranjería (SAIME), while visas themselves are issued through the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE) and its consular network.
