Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Across Vanuatu visa categories, applicants generally need a passport valid for more than six months on arrival, evidence of onward or return travel, and proof of sufficient funds for their stay. Where a certified copy of a passport is accepted (for example, for transit applications from outside Vanuatu), it must include the bio-data page and all used pages.

Purpose-specific documents are added on top: an employment contract, labour certification and work permit for work; proof of enrolment for study; relationship and citizenship evidence for family routes; certified income or asset evidence and VIPA approvals for self-funded and investor routes.

Each visa form on the immigration website lists its own checklist, so applicants should follow the checklist for the exact category they are applying under.
