Documents You Need for a Uganda Visa Application

Uganda's online applications ask you to upload scanned supporting documents. While the exact list depends on the visa or permit type, a common core applies to most visitor applications, with additional documents for work, study, family and residence routes.

Prepare clear scans in advance so the upload step is straightforward. Passports should generally be valid for at least six months, and a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is a standard health-entry requirement for Uganda.

  • Work permit — employment contract, sponsoring company documents, qualifications
  • Student pass — admission/enrolment letter from the institution
  • Dependant pass — proof of relationship and of the principal's legal status
  • Investor/business permits — company registration, shareholding and investment evidence
  • Residence/citizenship — proof of qualifying residence period, police clearance, tax compliance
