Visas obtained on arrival — tourist, transit and business Class I for eligible nationalities — are issued at the border on the spot once requirements are met and the fee is paid.

Applications made in advance take longer. The Immigration Service indicates decisions on working visas and residence-related applications within about 30 working days, and transit-visa extensions within up to 15 days. Apply well ahead of intended travel or before a current visa expires.
