Timor-Leste visa fees are set in US dollars and are generally paid in cash. Travellers should carry sufficient cash, as ATM and money-changing facilities may not be available at border posts.

Headline fees include US$30 for a tourist visa (US$40 to extend), US$20 for a transit visa, US$100 for a working visa, US$50 for a temporary stay (study) visa and the Visa to Establish Residence, US$100 or US$150 for business visas (Class I / Class II), US$100 for a temporary resident permit and US$150 for a permanent resident permit. The Special Stay Authorization is free of charge.
