Whether you need a visa for Suriname depends on your nationality and the purpose of your trip: many travellers enter visa-free but must pay an online entry fee, some nationalities must obtain an e-visa or e-tourist card before arrival, and longer stays for work, study, family or settlement require separate authorisation. Short-stay travel visas and tourist cards are administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation through its official online portal (operated by VFS Global), while stays over 90 days, residence permits and naturalisation fall under the Ministry of Justice and Police and its Aliens Affairs department, and work permits under the Ministry of Labour.
