Who it is for

  • Foreign nationals travelling to federally controlled Somalia for tourism or a short visit
  • Not for Somaliland, which sets its own separate entry rules
  • Not required for visa-exempt nationals or holders of valid residence/work permits or pre-1 September 2025 multiple-entry visas

Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months with a blank page
  • Recent passport photo or selfie
  • Passport bio-data page scan
  • Travel and accommodation/contact details in Somalia
  • Online payment method

What you can do

  • Enter Somalia for tourism within the approved dates
  • Stay for the short-visit period authorised by the eTAS

How to apply

Apply online through the official ICA eVisa/eTAS portal, complete the form, upload documents, pay the fee and travel with the approved authorisation. It cannot be obtained on arrival.
