Liechtenstein's national immigration body is the Migration and Passport Office (Auslander- und Passamt) in Vaduz.

All national immigration matters in Liechtenstein are handled by the Migration and Passport Office (Auslander- und Passamt / APA), part of the Liechtenstein National Administration in Vaduz. It is the authority that decides on residence permits, issues biometric residence cards, processes passports and identity cards, and manages the country's integration requirements.
Because Liechtenstein is one of the smallest countries in Europe and caps the number of residence permits it grants, this office administers a permit allocation (draw/lottery) system alongside ordinary permit decisions. It is the correct first point of contact for anyone planning a stay of more than three months for work, study, family or residence without employment.

- Runs the residence-permit allocation draw for capped permit categories
- Issues biometric residence cards and captures the applicant's biometric data
