Fees for a Latvia visa application
Latvia charges a national long-stay (D) visa fee of EUR 90 and tiered state fees for residence permits, plus a small fee to declare your address.
Important
Latvia sets its national migration fees by Cabinet Regulation, with the current schedule in force from 1 January 2025. The long-stay (Type D) visa carries a state fee of EUR 90 (this is Latvia's national long-stay visa fee, separate from any short-stay rules); it rises to EUR 180 where the application is submitted fewer than three working days before the current authorised stay expires.
Residence permit fees are tiered by how quickly you want the documents examined: a standard 30-day timeframe, an expedited 10-working-day timeframe, and a fast 5-working-day timeframe, each at a higher price. Fees also differ by permit category and by whether you are being issued the permit or registering (producing) the card. Because several fee components can apply to one case, confirm the exact total for your category on the official fee page before paying.
