Official guidance Regularly updated

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Finland charges a processing fee for each national residence-permit application, and the fee is generally lower when you apply online through Enter Finland than on paper. A new fee schedule took effect on 1 January 2026 by decree of the Ministry of the Interior and remains in force until 31 December 2026. Applications that became pending on 31 December 2025 or earlier are charged the 2025 fee.

The figures below are the fees confirmed by Migri for common long-stay routes. Fees vary by permit category, so always check the exact amount for your route on Migri's fees page before paying.
