For non-nationals who wish to live in the country for longer than one year, this permit authorises an extended stay beyond ordinary visitor limits.

  • Non-nationals intending to live in the country for longer than one year

Requirements

  • Completed Residence Application Form (in duplicate)
  • Police certificate of character from the country of most recent residence (over 6 months)
  • Recent bank statement or other evidence of financial resources, or a letter of support accepting financial responsibility

How to apply

  • Obtain the Residence Application Form from the Office of the Prime Minister
  • Submit the completed application to the Office of the Prime Minister, Administrative Centre, Kingstown

  • A non-refundable EC$200 application fee applies, then an annual fee of EC$800 for CARICOM nationals, EC$1,600 for Commonwealth nationals and EC$2,400 for others.
