Who is eligible to enter or stay in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Eligibility depends on nationality for entry, and on employment, family or residence status for longer stays.
Important
For short visits, eligibility is determined by nationality. Citizens of most countries are admitted visa-free and given a visitor permit; nationals of the listed visa-required countries must first obtain an entry visa. OECS member-state nationals are granted indefinite stay on entry, and CARICOM nationals, together with UK, Schengen and US citizens, are generally admitted for up to six months.
To work, a non-national must have permission from the Office of the Prime Minister in the form of a work permit, normally requiring a confirmed job offer from a local employer. To reside long term, a non-national applies for a temporary residence permit and, after the qualifying period, may apply for permanent residence.
Citizenship is available by registration (including for spouses of Vincentian citizens and long-resident Commonwealth citizens) and by naturalisation, subject to residence, good character and other conditions set out in Vincentian nationality law.
